New to Anthology?

Visiting a church for the first time can feel a little awkward. We get it. This page will walk you through what Sundays look like at Anthology—where to go, what to do with kids, and what actually happens in the service—so you can relax and just be yourself.

JOIN US

When and Where

We meet every Sunday at 10:00 am at Charles Town Middle School in Charles Town.

Address:
193 High Street
Charles Town, WV 25414

Look for our signs and friendly volunteers in the parking lot and at the main entrance.

  • Plan to arrive about 10–15 minutes early if it’s your first time.
  • Our team will help you find kids’ check-in, restrooms, and a seat in the main room.
  • If you’d rather slip in quietly, that’s okay too—no spotlight, no “stand up and introduce yourself” moment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We keep Sundays simple, honest, and focused on Jesus. Here’s what a typical morning looks like:

LENGTH:

The service lasts about 65 minutes.

MUSIC:

We sing modern worship songs led by a live band. You don’t need to know the words ahead of time—lyrics are on the screen.

TEACHING:

You’ll hear a Bible-based message that’s down-to-earth and aimed at real life—work, family, relationships, stress, all of it.

ATMOSPHERE:

Laid-back and friendly. No dress code. People wear everything from jeans and hoodies to business casual.

COMMUNION and OFFERING:

When we take communion we’ll explain what’s happening. There’s no pressure for guests to participate.

We can’t wait for you to join us.

KID’S CHURCH

Kids at Anthology

Kids matter to us. On Sundays, we offer safe, fun, age-appropriate environments where kids can make friends and learn that their story matters to God.

Ages

Kids church is for children nursery age to 5th Grade

What it’s like:

Our program offers a welcoming environment led by friendly, background-checked volunteers. Children enjoy simple, age-appropriate Bible teaching along with fun games and activities.

Check-In & Safety:

When you arrive, head to the Anthology Kids check-in area: We’ll collect a little basic info and print a secure tag for your child and a matching tag for you. Only the person with the matching tag can pick up your child after the service. If we need you during the service, we’ll have a simple way to get your attention.

PLEASE NOTE: If you’d rather keep your kids with you in the main service while they get used to a new space, that’s totally okay. We’re good with a little kid noise.

ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONS

We want Anthology to be a place where everyone can participate.

  • The main entrance and seating areas are accessible.
  • If you or someone in your family needs extra time, seating help, or other accommodations, just let one of our volunteers know.
  • You can also mention any needs on the Plan Your Visit form so we can be ready.

FAQs

You got questions, we got answers!

Do I have to dress up?

Nope. Wear what you normally wear on a weekend—jeans, boots, work clothes, whatever. We care more that you’re here than what you’re wearing.

I haven’t been to church in years. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of us are coming back to church after a long time or are figuring things out for the first time. You won’t be alone.

What if I’m not sure what I believe?

You’re welcome here. Anthology is a place where you can bring your questions, doubts, and story without having to pretend.

How long is the service again?

About 65 minutes from start to finish.

What if I don’t know anyone?

That’s most people’s first Sunday. Our team will be ready to say hello, help you find a seat, and answer any questions you have.
